oregonduck (oregonduck):

factoring by grouping x(x-2)+(x-2)

oregonduck (oregonduck):

i think (x+2)(x-2) @jcoury

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x(x-2)+(x-2)\\ (x-2) [x+1] \\\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep! you are right duck

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actaully wait

oregonduck (oregonduck):

ok yay can you medal me i will to you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no wait its not, its (x-2)(x+1) because the x-2's are the same but the other on is x+1 because they get the 1 from the second parentheses group because if you distributed the 1 (multiply)if would have no affect, so the 1 acts like a filler

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute and combine like terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i want no medal. don't like titles.

oregonduck (oregonduck):

ok
