a football is kicked vertically upward from a height of 3 feet with a initial speed of 60 feet per second. The formula is h=3+60t-16^2 describes the balls height above the ground, h, in feet 1 second after it was kicked. Use the formula to find the balls height 1 second after it was kicked.

I think what you meant by the formula was this: \[h(t) = 3 + 60t - 16t^2\]in which case, this shouldn't be too much of a problem. The problem's initial rates and constants are given in terms of seconds anyway, so all that needs to be done is plug in the value \[t=1\]into the above equation and you'll get your answer.
