OpenStudy (aizhalee):

Medal and Fan will be given ! Help Please! What two transformations are needed to show that the two circles are similar ?

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

@ganeshie8 @Skielerlucas04 @welshfella

OpenStudy (anonymous):

translation is one because you need to move the smaller circle in the center of the bigger one

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

Thanks :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on there is one more

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

Hmm is there any other way we can find the second one tho ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im trying hold on

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

Take your time :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dilation because dilation makes the image bigger and that will tell you if they are the same size

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

Thank you so much ^___^ Lifesaver . God bless you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no problem...glad to help

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

:3 glad to have you as my helper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

My teacher told me she needed to know what transformation is going to make its scale factor something like that . @Skielerlucas04

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Aizhalee

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

lol its ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

were the answers right?

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

Yes she is saying how far to translate it, how do I translate, when dialting what would be the K and radii etc . Using the graph up above @Skielerlucas04

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

shes pretty much saying prove it using the graph above , circle a and circle B @Skielerlucas04

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i have to do the translations now?

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

yes , using circle a and circle B

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

using the formula K and radii

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

@Skielerlucas04

OpenStudy (anonymous):

translate circle b (x=-2)(y=-3)

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

I see , so I have to do the same for circle a or so thats all I have to say Lucas ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nooo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you dont do any translations to circle A

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

Ok thank you see , so whats next please

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

you're still here lol ;o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@welshfella i dont know how to dilate the circle to be the same size as the other one, can u help?

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

@welshfella help please, and its fine lucas thank you so much for everything

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know you need to dilate it but idk how

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

me niether .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry

OpenStudy (aizhalee):

its ok , I'll let her know I dont understand
