Can anyone help me with this multiple choice question?

Here

hartnn (hartnn):

what have you tried?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nothing because i don't even know how to do it or where to start :/

hartnn (hartnn):

to get (f o g)(x), plug in x= g(x) in f(x). confusing? example : f(x) = 12x^2-5 g(x) = x+7, plug in x = 'x+7' in f(x) so, (f o g)(x) = 12(x+7)^2 -5 I just replaced x by x+7 in the f(x) expression. got this?

hartnn (hartnn):

then expand 12(x+7)^2 -5, which will lead you to the answer!

So it's b?

hartnn (hartnn):

can you show your work how you got b ? because its not b

hartnn (hartnn):

but you're very close :)
