7e−4=31 solve for e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[7e^{-4} = 31\] is this what you mean ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no 7e-4=31 i know its not true but it says to slove for e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[7e - 4 = 31\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i said, ? how can u solve for e when its not true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well do you mean e as euler's number or e as a random variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i said, ? how can u solve for e when its not true

Nnesha (nnesha):

i guess e as a variable bec there isn't any exponent so we don't have to take ln

OpenStudy (anonymous):

e as in variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well normally when euler's number isn't represented with an exponent it is assumed e has an exponent of 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay nvm that changes everything

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you just add the 4 and divide by 7

Nnesha (nnesha):

yeah ik that i mean exponent except one

Nnesha (nnesha):

jamesr what's the subject you r working on ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why are you saying that it is not true @jamesr ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

algebra

Nnesha (nnesha):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvrmind i had the wrong equation for thr true part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvermind i got it thx i would medal all of u but i can only do one sorry

Nnesha (nnesha):

NO big deal. give it to jdosio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would normally be modest but i'm a medal whore :P
