We just need to divide the area of the circle by the area of a square, so what is the area of a square and circle?

Area of a square is side * side right? So we can say \[A_{\square} = a^2\] and area of a circle is \[A_{circle} = \pi r^2\]

Geny, I provided you the formulas, you learn this in elementary. You just remember them for now, now since the radius is half the size of the side of a square we will let 2r be the side of the square, so we have a = 2r putting it all together we have \[A_{\square} = (2r)^2~~~~A_{circle}=\pi r ^2\]

hint: to find that area you will need to find the difference between the square's area and the circle's area

notice the square's side length is given by (4+4) and the circle's radius is given by 4 it should be pretty easy to find the areas of both the square and circle now and you want to know the difference of these areas over the squares area
