What is the standard form of the equation of the circle x2 -4x + y2 + 6y + 4 = 0? I already have the beginning: x^2-4x+y^2+6y+4=0 X^2+y^2-4x+6y=-4 but im not sure how to go from there, this is new to me.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

good start now complete each square the x group and the y group the equation of the circle (x-h)^2 +( y-k)^2 = r^2 (h,k) is the center of the circle and r is the radius
