Ok the answer is 5x2 is 10 and then minus 2-4 is 2 and then 4x+2 is 6
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Can you show me how you got that?
OpenStudy (spid):
So 6 is in the box
OpenStudy (mathstudent55):
When you have a quadratic with 1 as the coefficient of the x^2 term, to complete the square, take half of the x-term coefficient, and square it.

Bravo
OpenStudy (mathstudent55):
x^2 - 4x doe have a 1 as the coefficient of the x^2 term.
The coefficient of the x term is -4.
Take half of -4.
Then square that.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay, thanks guys!
OpenStudy (spid):
You have to do 2-4 equal 2
OpenStudy (mathstudent55):
@noliveiraa

No.
The complete the square term is always positive.
Half of -4 is -2
-2 squared is 4.
The answer is 4.
OpenStudy (spid):
What ever man bye
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay, so i am confused the answer 6 or not
OpenStudy (spid):
Yessss 😭😭
OpenStudy (spid):
I'm going to cry

6 is incorrect.
The complete the square term has to be a perfect square.
6 is not a perfect square, so 6 cannot possibly be correct.
OpenStudy (spid):
He don't know nothing
OpenStudy (spid):
Math man good luck
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So then it is 4 because 4 is a perfect square, and i believe mathstudent55
OpenStudy (spid):
6
