4(a ⋅ b) = (4 ⋅ a)b is an example of which algebraic property? Im stuck between A & D Associative Property of Multiplication Transitive Property Reflexive Property Commutative Property of Multiplication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think associative property because the numbers are still tin the same place the only thing that changed is where the parentheses were placed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The associative property states that you can add or multiply regardless of how the numbers are grouped. By 'grouped' we mean 'how you use parenthesis'. In other words, if you are adding or multiplying it does not matter where you put the parenthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in my notes it gave me an example of Associative property which is: 2+(3+4)=(2+3)+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but im still unsure..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the example being showed is being regrouped in your question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because they didn't move the numbers they just moved the parenthesis and whenever you do that you are using the associative property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its A right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)
