How to solve 3/2n - 5 < 4 Written better in comments.

OpenStudy (republican31):

\[\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }n - 5 < 4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n=-6

OpenStudy (republican31):

How do I solve it? And it's an inequality. I know the answer is {n| n < 6} but I don't understand how. I got 1/9.

OpenStudy (republican31):

Nevermind, I understand now. I was dividing the other side by 3/2, but now I see I need to multiply both sides by the 2, then divide both sides by the 3.
