The question as it is is not clear, grammatically. Also, there's a problem with the answer choices, c and d are identical. Can you please post an image of the original question, perhaps the answer choices as well?

quotient is a division problem...but I would have thought the answer would be : n/4 + 5

Choice D has two ways of thinking is it (4/n) + 5 or is it 4/(n+5) sort of ambiguous.
