@welshfella
sure
The following table shows the data collected from a random sample of 100 middle school students on the number of hours they play indoor games every week: Weekly Duration of Indoor Games Time (in hours) 0–3 4–7 8–11 12–15 Number of Students 4 42 52 2 There are 1,300 students in the school. Based on the sample proportion, how many students in the school would be expected to play indoor games for at least four hours every week? 546 598 702 1,248
Im not really sure on this one but I feel like its either 546 or 598. I would like to say 546 since it seems not many people said 4 hours but your guess is as good as mine c:
@welshfella
so sorry
@Vocaloid
From 100 people in the sample, what percent of the people play at least 4 hours a week (according to your table)?
Will call this percentage "x %" untill you find this percentage. So the "statistic" was that among the 100 student-sample, x % played for at least 4 hours. So the inferred statistic is that [it is expected that] x % of the whole population (of 1300 students) will/currently play for at least 4 hours.
