PLEASE HELP Laura will rent a car for the weekend. She can choose one of two plans. The first plan has no initial fee but costs $0.80 per mile driven. The second plan has an initial fee of $65 and costs an additional $0.70 per mile driven. How many miles would Laura need to drive for the two plans to cost the same?

take x to be the number of miles she drives and y to be the the total cost of the rental: plan 1: no initial fee & $0.80 per mile gives us: y = $0.80 * x plan 2: initial fee of $65 & $0.70 per mile: y = $0.70 * x + $65 Do you see why these equations make sense? Ask yourself what 0 miles driven means, and what it results in when plugged into these equations. Anyway, I have to save some of the fun for you. You have two equations and 2 unknowns you definitely have the possibility of a solution, the only way to know for sure it to solve (hint try substitution).
