\[-(-a)=a\]so \[-(-15)=15\]
or as the math teachers say "a minus a minus is a plus"
its just a matter of learning the rules for multiplying signs.. neg times neg = positive neg times positive = negative do not confuse these rules with adding/subtractions signs...those are different
so -11- 15
when you have a neg with no number, outside of the parenthesis...like this -(-10)....it is the same as -1(-10)......so you are multiplying -1 * -10...and a neg times a neg is a positive...making -(-10) be +10 or just 10. This is just an example.
