need answer so bad Choose the correct slope of the line that passes through the points (-4, 8) and (-3, -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyone??????????????

OpenStudy (candyme):

The formula for slope is \[m= \frac{y_{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\] Basically you label your points point 1 and point 2. (-4,8) is point 1and (-3,-6) is point 2 Plug the x and y values into the equation for slope \[m=\frac{ (-6)-8 }{ -3-(-4) }\]

Can you get the answer from here?

OpenStudy (candyme):

slope=\[\frac{ -6-8 }{ -3+4 }\] \[\frac{ -14 }{ 1 }\] -14 is the slope of the line that runs through (-4,8) and (-3,-6)
