Help! I have a problem with my math teacher!

So my Algebra 2 class took a text in which the teacher marked #18 wrong. The question had a graph in which you had to interpret a graph, write the equation and interpret the slope. Well the slope was the price of shoes over the percent of discount. My teacher confirmed the correct answer is -1/2x+50. Part 2 asked to interpret the slope so I wrote "the price of shoes decreases by $1 every time the percent of discount increases by 2%." My teacher said this was wrong and I went to talked to her about it today but she said "I don't want it to be too specific". She never told me why my answer was incorrect nor did she tell me the correct answer. "I only wanted you to tell me what the slope means". Am I right or wrong? I'm thinking I can email her with an explanation on why I am correct (as she is a one right answer type) or ask another math teacher to help me. What should I do? Any ideas?

I think you should explain to your teacher why your answer was right and she might tell what she thought was wrong with your answer

Maybe your teacher wanted a general idea of what the slope means. Not for this specific context. But that's misleading if you ask me.

You need to talk to your teacher and be able to communicate with her. She needs to know how to express herself so you know how to answer the questions.

she said "I don't want it to be too specific" "I only wanted you to tell me what the slope means"..  she only wanted a general response   
she is a one right answer type   don't explain why you are right. It's just not what she expected. You can ask what answer would be sufficient and then request credit since your answer is basically the same with more specific details.

if you cannot resolve the "expectation" issue then talk to the principal  not to another teacher
