Alright, let me try and get all of this together. The term peer group [relationship] refers to an individual's small, relatively intimate group of peers who interact on a regular basis. Peer groups consist of individuals who share friendship, hang around and talk to each other as well as do activities together (can sometimes refer to a close, mutual and voluntary relationship), bringing that person [or group of people] a sense of belonging to a group. A dating relationship refers to an individuals romantic partner(s). It varies from person to person, but they tend to interact regularly. They tend interact on a more intimate level, a relationship they share only with that person. The way a couple interact can play a pivotal role in the formation, stability, and quality of dating relationships. This can show a person how they alone are appreciated above others, since they are the one their parter has 'chosen'. Family is a bit more difficult, since it can change overtime and everyone has a different situation. Typically a family relationship refers to group of people who have a sense of belonging over all else. The formal definition for family [source: Palo Alto Medical Foundation; http://www.pamf.org/teen/abc/types/family.html ] 'Family is defined as a domestic group of people with some degree of kinship – whether through blood, marriage, or adoption. Ideally each child is nurtured, respected, and grows up to care for others and develop strong and healthy relationships.' I'm not sure if that helped at all, and if that is so, here are some additional resources. Types of Relationships: http://www.pamf.org/teen/abc/types/ Interpersonal Relationships: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpersonal_relationship [wikipedia is not a reliable source, so be sure to double check all sources] The Role of Romantic Partners, Family and Peer Networks: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3476461/ Good luck, -Kanra
