4^2-(5+(12)^2)-4sqrt4^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the end part looks like -4\[\sqrt{4}\]^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[4^{2}-(5+12^{2})-4\sqrt{4^{2}}\] Is that what it looks like?

OpenStudy (itsbribro):

I assume you already know what PEMDAS means right? @mocham

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is what it looks like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(), exponent, multi, division, sub, and add

OpenStudy (anonymous):

doe the - next to (5+144) get applied to whats in the brackets?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

we can apply the minus sign (outside of the brackets), after we simplify what is inside them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just do like this: 4^2-(5+(12)^2)-4sqrt4^2 ( when its square roof of square, you can get rid of the square roof) 16- ( 5+ 144) - 4 times 4 16- ( 149) -16 I think till here i done my part :) now just need simple calculate :) if there any wrong or mistake in this, please let me know because I think myself had read the problem wrong....
