Can anyone help me with solving this polynomial question? Use a horizontal format to find the sum. (12x^2-x)+11x^3+(-9x^3+x^2-7)
\[(12x^2-x)+11x^3+(-9x^3+x^2-7)\]
is that what you mean?
on it
\[~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~12x^2-x\\ 11x^3\\ -9x^3~~+x^2-7\]
oh maybe that is a vertical format
vertical works too
keep going, i'm checking for ur mistakes
vertical is easier
\[(12^{2}-x)+11x ^{3}+(-9x ^{3}+x ^{2}-7)\]
so continuing with satellite's equation, u understand why he made it that way, right?
I was told to combine like terms, and to work it out like it's written. We haven't learned anything about vertical format yet. I still cent seem to answer it correctly haha.
can't*
if u add them all up like that... well its the same but its easier to c cz all the um like terms are lined up
so u know those tiny numbers i forgot wht they are called but whtever those stop numbers from making them into like terms, so when u add those things u basicially make it into vertical and add the numbers in this case
so 11+(-9) for the first one
and so on with the numbers
see wht u get
\[2x ^{3}+13x ^{2}-x-7\]
?
yea
what's basically it
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHHH
