2m=1/8

OpenStudy (loganh):

well you need to get rid of 2, and a number next to something means to multiply, so how would you cancel this?

OpenStudy (loganh):

You would cancel it by dividing, but you would have to do this to both sides, so m=1/16

OpenStudy (loganh):

But remember, what you do for one side, you do to the other when simplifying equations.

logan is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am going to make a guess my guess is the question is \[\huge2^m=\frac{1}{8}\] am i right?

OpenStudy (loganh):

2 to the power of m or 2(m)
