Becoming a lawyer in the USA requires a Juris Doctorate, which takes extensive education on contracts, research, and tons of paperwork. It is far more in depth than any one topic on this site and there are serious legal ramifications for trying to teach licensure topics when you are not legally authorized to do so. Medicine, law, and even driving are topics like this where you must be authorized to teach them.

Law is a Doctorate degree. There really is no section here that does much at that level. So what about before you become a law student?

A survey of students at law schools found that the ones with pre-law or criminal justice degrees were both least prepared and least admitted. Philosophy and English degrees are a lot better at prepping someone for the reading and writing required and have a higher admissions rate than pre-law holders. Also, business classes make a person more ready for what they will be dealing with and do cover a chink of contract laws. A degree in economics is also not a bad choice.

See, law has almost noting to do with criminal justice, which is why that is a bad degree choice, and pre-law degrees have been shown to be poorly designed for actually getting someone ready for law studies. Criminal justice has to do with how to reform prisoners than it does how to study law. Instead, degrees that focus on reading, writing, critical thinking, and business skills end up being far more applicable.

Being a lawyer means you read a ton of things, every day. Additionally, you write reports based on these things. On and on, you read legal stuff, write legal stuff, with almost nothing else. Even criminal lawyers, which may see court regularly, are usually just reading precedents, filing motions, and working out plea bargain.

All of that comes after the doctorate degree, and the doctorate comes after the bachelor's degree. So a site like OS would be best used for help in classes on your bachelor's degree, not your law classes that come after.
