(Question screenshot in comments) I found out the percent but didn't see that it was a negative fraction, and I can't find anything that explain how to convert negative fractions to decimal/percents. Someone help ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (freckles):

just bring over the negative

OpenStudy (freckles):

convert 9/20 to a a decimal then bring over the negative sign

OpenStudy (freckles):

covert 9/20 to a percent then bring over the negative sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by "bring over" ? as in just add a negative sign to the percent ??

OpenStudy (freckles):

yes the number is negative the decimal is therefore negative the percent is therefore negative

OpenStudy (freckles):

example: -a/100=-a%

sorry, thanks! it's been a while considering summer so I kind of have to refresh my math lingo, heh.

OpenStudy (freckles):

that is just 3 different ways to represent the same number if you don't put the negative sign on the other two values you are changing the value

OpenStudy (freckles):

another example: \[-\frac{1}{4}=-.25=-25 \%\]

OpenStudy (nonopro):

0.45
