c = 17, a = 5. Find b.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there anymore to this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

17 - 5 = 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but ik its using Pythagorean Theorem like I know how to set it up I just don't know if its adding subtracting ect \[10^{2}=b ^{2}+5^{2} \] that's how you set it up idk what to do next

geerky42 (geerky42):

You want to isolate b. Start by subtracting both sides by \(5^2\).
