OpenStudy (anonymous):

Every female rabbit has 5 baby rabbits. What is the constant of proportionality for the ratio of baby rabbits to female rabbits? one-fourth 5 4 one-fifth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Ratio = \(\sf \frac{Mother~rabbit}{Baby~rabbit~she~has}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the proportion would be 5/1, which simplifies to 5 so the second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/5?

OpenStudy (candyme):

Well, for every 5 babies there is 1 female momma. So a 5:1 ratio. If it is Mothers to Babies, then @Abhisar is correct. If it is Babies to Mothers, then it would be 5. It all depends on the exact wording of the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be 1/5 if it asked the ratio of female rabbits to baby rabbits but they switched it around so its the other way, 5/1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes, that would be the ratio for Mother to Bay rabbits, but I just realized that the question is asking the ratio of baby rabbits to Mother rabbit. So just flip it down c:
