Megan solved a similar equation below. Is Megan's solution correct? Explain why or why not.
3(2x − 4) = 5x − 1
6x − 12 = 5x − 1
11x − 12 = –1
11x = 11

Her solution isn't correct because she added 5x to 6x when she should have subtracted 5x from 6x. Also, when she had 11x = 11, she didn't divide 11/11 and if she did x would equal 1.(Her work is wrong) However, if you were to subtract 6x-5x, you would get 1x-12=-1 and you would then add 12 to -1 and get x=11. Her answer was right, but the work she used to solve it was incorrect.
