I don't think it's A because these heroes have many flaws. And I know it's not D. because it's not a love story.

In hero tales, the hero is almost always the most powerful or the cleverest character in the story. But in The Hobbit, Bilbo and the dwarves are surrounded by characters that are much more powerful than they. They cannot defeat, outwit, or avoid these characters, and if they make the characters angry, the characters can do the party great harm. So Bilbo, the dwarves, and even Gandalf must find another way to successfully resolve conflicts that arise between them and these powerful characters.
Resolving a conflict without arousing another's anger requires a great deal of tact. Tact is the skill of knowing the right thing to say and do in delicate situations--situations in which the wrong word or action can spark conflict. A tactful person carefully considers what is most appropriate and polite before speaking or acting.
