Use scalar multiplication to determine the coordinates of the vertices of the dilated figure. Then, graph the pre-image and the image of the same coordinate grid. Quadrilateral WXYZ with vertex matrix (-1,2), (5,5), (5,3), (-2,-3) with scale factor 3. (I put the matrix in coordinate form so it is easier to read) any help is appreciated!

Say you have an object and you know a vertice of the object call it (a,b) and you want to find the image of the object by dilating the object by a scale factor of k. Then the image of the object would have the vertice (ka,kb).

basically image point=(pre-image point)*scale factor

Ohh! I see now. I learned this, but it I wasn't ever tested with it asked like that. So it would be (x,y)*3 right? then plot those points of the image and pre-image and i have my answer! thanks!
