A noun is generally a name, place animal or thing, basically some sort of physical object. "left-hand" doesn't seem to be some sort of object. A pronoun is used in place of a person's name because continuously writing someone's name can look really annoying. A pronoun is a word that can be used in place of a noun. Now thinking of "left-hand" as a pronoun doesn't make any sense. You don't say ""Left-hand"! Come here!", you say "Hey! Come here!" A verb is a word that describes some sort of action being performed, like playing, dancing, swimming, slept, threw. Now "left-hand" is not telling us about any action being performed so it's not a verb An adjective is a word used to describe a noun. For example red flower, the word red describes the noun flower, so red is an adjective. The part of the sentence "left-hand" is describing "what" side of the store, basically it is telling us more about the store. So it is an adjective. That is what I think. :)
