So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself—nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance'. Franklin Roosevelt from his first inaugural address. He means that times have been tough and may remain tough but as a people we can achieve. All of us not just a few. I found a really great and not-so-long thing here about what he said. Someone else has did this before, as I can recall. Oh well, I hope this helps you as much as possible.
