OpenStudy (mathmath333):

Their is a question paper consisting of 15 questions . Each question has an internal choice of 2 options . In how many ways can a student attempt one or more questions of the given fifteen questions in the paper ?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

\(\large \color{black}{\begin{align} & \normalsize \text{Their is a question paper consisting of 15 questions .}\hspace{.33em}\\~\\ & \normalsize \text{Each question has an internal choice of 2 options .}\hspace{.33em}\\~\\ & \normalsize \text{In how many ways can a student attempt one or more}\hspace{.33em}\\~\\ & \normalsize \text{questions of the given fifteen questions in the paper ?}\hspace{.33em}\\~\\ & a.)\ 3^{7} \hspace{.33em}\\~\\ & b.)\ 3^{8} \hspace{.33em}\\~\\ & c.)\ 3^{15} \hspace{.33em}\\~\\ & d.)\ 3^{15}-1 \hspace{.33em}\\~\\ \end{align}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

yea correct

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

how did u got that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15+2-1=17 :)

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

what is that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right away looking at the question and the answers I could tell which is which, all i did was add 15 and 2 and I saw that none of them were close to it besides D so i added 3^15-1 and got 17.

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

ur IQ seems higher than me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol, says the mathlete.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

+1 for attempt

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

+2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

so there are 15 questions, how many choices do you have with each question ?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

think again

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

"each question has 2 choice"

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

remember there is also a choice of attempting the question you may choose not to attempt a question

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

3

imqwerty (imqwerty):

:P

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

interval

imqwerty (imqwerty):

So did u get the answer now?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

no

imqwerty (imqwerty):

the kid can attempt the a question in 3 ways ok till now :)

imqwerty (imqwerty):

Nd then hes has to do 15 questions so number of ways of doing it=3x3x3x....fifteen times

imqwerty (imqwerty):

But then there is a case where the kid leaves the paper empty :) so we give him a - 1 cause we will not consider that he attempted the paper. So we get the answer - 3^15-1

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

ok

imqwerty (imqwerty):

What is the full form of O.K?

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

good question

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

what is the full form of IMQ

OpenStudy (freckles):

okay

OpenStudy (freckles):

that made sense in your justification of taking one away from the 3^(15) you know because if he doesn't answer any of them then it is not really consider an attempt but I have seen people attempt tests and write nothing on it except a drawing :p

OpenStudy (freckles):

I don't know what IMQ stands for

imqwerty (imqwerty):

:)

OpenStudy (freckles):

huh I always thought okay was the proper word for slang ok. But ok is actually okay. Like I think they use the word ok more actually. And ok is consider its full form. It just also has different forms that are used such as okay.

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

IMQ-> imquerty->@imqwerty

imqwerty (imqwerty):

:O

OpenStudy (freckles):

ah

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

lol

OpenStudy (freckles):

I just realize I completely missed something in your question @mathmath333 oh you know what they thingy does say how can the person attempt one or more questions anyways so that part wasn't a guessing thing if it said how can the person attempt 0 or more questions then it would have been 3^(15)

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

yes i got that

imqwerty (imqwerty):

:) how to get slim in jst a week? . The answer is simple :) Jst turn ur head left nd then right then left nd so whenever u r given food

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

what is that ^

OpenStudy (freckles):

does doing that much turning cause you to lose that much calories

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

trolling lol

imqwerty (imqwerty):

Nope :) It is nt like that

imqwerty (imqwerty):

Is it trolling or troling :)
