Simple statics (or Physics) question..... I summing forces in the x, and y, directions and finding that forces directed in the positive y, and negative x directions (quadrant II), have positive y values, but all the solutions (chegg and the back of my textbook are showing the forces in the y-direction as negative when they are in quadrant two. Can you please look at the attached problem I did and tell me what concept I have wrong?

I have done about fifteen of these and chegg and my textbook have the same answers and always differ from mine by that one element, I am about to attach a screen shot of cheggs explanation of this problem and their answer matches the answer in my text
yea u are right looks like these ppl have messed up wid signs :)
It really makes me wonder because every one they are doing that has the force in the second quadrant they count the y-component as negative
When having doubts of this kind, it is best to post an image of the original question, together with the given figure, if any.
