((x^2+2)/(x^2-1))/((x^2-4)/(x^2-4x-5)) and find the excluded domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would suggest doing the math on actual paper but I got (x^2 + 2)(x-5) / (x+4)(x+2)(x-1) after finding common denominators and simplifying. Tell me if you didn't get this part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The vertical asymptotes are clear now. Set each factor in the denominator to 0 and you see that x=1, x=-2 and x=-4 are discontinuities.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, correction. x=1, x=2, x=-2 are vertical asymptotes. (x^2 + 2)(x-5) / (x-2)(x+2)(x-1) is the simplified function.

and then identify holes from the non simplified original function.

@nonon I got that but its saying its wrong.

:;( ooh I'm sorry what does it say?
