OpenStudy (eva12):

1. why is the sequence bounded at 3? 2+((-1)^n/n) help please

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

look for the limit

OpenStudy (eva12):

\[2+\frac{ -1^n }{ n }\le3\]

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

yes you would need to prove that! formally you need to show that for any n \(A_n\le 3\)

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

with the limit as n goes to oo of A_n=3 this shows that all values of A_n do not exceed 3

OpenStudy (eva12):

the limit is 2 when n goes to infinity , okay I understand it now thank you =)

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

oh yeah right, i thought it was 3

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

ok so what have you thought about so far?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

how do we prove that inequality

OpenStudy (eva12):

I think we prove a set and the set must be bounded

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

what set?
