Read this sentence from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles wingspanens: The garret, built to be a depository for firewood and the like, was dim and dark: for, the window of dormer shape, was in truth a door in the roof,
Based on the context, a depository is most likely used for which of the following? Dining Entry and exit Light and air Storage
If you look at the definition for garret, it's like an attic room/loft. It's definitely not dining or light and air . What do you think the answer is?
Light and air then?
The garret is supposedly a depository for the firewood and such. Why would it be the light and air for it?
Think about deposit: When you deposit you put something in.
It doesn't seem like the firewood and such are going in and out of the garret. Deposit = putting in, not taking out. So what would your answer be?
storage then XD
Makes more sense now! Thnx!
