Ok, now let’s say the father guinea pig from the last question (heterozygous curly haired), mates with a different mother. The new mother guinea pig is also heterozygous curly haired, just like him. They also have a litter of adorable baby guinea pigs (by now the house is getting full of guinea pigs!!). What are the possible genotypes, and the probability percentages of each, and what are the possible phenotypes, and probability percentages of each?

First break down the pheno and geno types of each mate. The male being heterozygous curly means that it's phenotype is curly hair and its genotype is one dominate gene for curly hair and one restive for non curly. Ex : C = curly c = non curly. The female is the same as she is also heterozygous curly. Male C c Female C CC Cc c Cc cc According to our square we see that the offspring will CC (homozygous curly) 25% of the time, Cc (heterozygous curly) 50% of the time, and cc (homozygous non curly) 25% of the time. Does this explain all your questions?
