There are two main functions for polysaccharides in living things. Discuss these two functions, and how the structures of polysaccharide molecules support these functions. Now I know that all polysaccharides are made up of the same monomer, glucose. Is this question essentially asking me the use of glucose throughout different organisms?

One of the functions is energy storage as glycogen, look here https://www.khanacademy.org/test-prep/mcat/physical-sciences-practice/physical-sciences-practice-tut/e/the-structure-and-function-of-glycogen- The other is for structural support, e.g. cellulose in plants https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellulose These are glucose polymers, but there are others, like chitin, that arent glucose polymers.

Thank you for your reply, @aaronq . I guess I should do a bit more research, since I'm a bit confused with this question. But I'll run through that top link, and scan through some other information. I'm not too keen when it comes to biology.
