i would say c?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A misplaced modifier is generally a phrase meant to modify a subject or noun, but is placed incorrectly, and the phrase modifies another noun instead. In the sentence, "with a squeal and a giggle, the wave came in, and the boy became soaked", the modifier is "with a squeal and a giggle". Due to that phrase's placement, it sounds as if the wave is squealing and giggling. This phrase is obviously meant to modify the boy, so if I were to write the sentence above correctly, it would say "The wave came in, and the boy became soaked with a squeal and a giggle". Even if the sentence may sound "wonky", the modifier modifies the correct word. Therefore, I think "C" is the correct answer.

I would say C is the answer, because it says " with a squeal and giggle, the wave came in, and the boy became soaked." It makes it sound like the wave was the one squealing and not the boy.
