I set the denominator equal to 0 and got \[x \neq0, \pm i \sqrt{1}\]

Now, my question is, how do I write this in interval notation?

1) complex numbers(??), usually you are looking at \(x \in \mathcal R\) for these [and it's just \(\pm i\) anyways] 2) https://www.mathsisfun.com/sets/intervals.html if i were to help you on this, i would scan this website and rip out the salient parts. happy to do that but you might wish to do so yourself and see where you go pure maths is not my bag but i can blag it. happy to help further
