How do extraneous solutions arise from radical equations?

this is pretty simple, say for example the problem is 7l-2x+5l+3>5x-8

-2x+5>(5/7)x-(11/7) and -2x+5>-(5/7)x+(11/7) would be yours starting points for solving this

an extraneous solution can only occur when there is a variable on both sides of the inequality sign, so one of the answers you'll get from this might not be a real solution to the problem

so x>16/3 and x>5/3 (or something like that, for the second one) but since they both are greater than but its an and statement, the extraneous solution is x>5/3 since they both get to the right point, sry if that was complicated
