How do you graph the solution set to a systems of linear inequalities in two variables and use it to solve real-world problems?

When you find a solution to a linear inequality in two variables you end up with a line, or two lines correct?

What you do then is select a point on one side or the other of the line..... use that value to plug into the inequality of that specific line. If the point satisfies the inequality, then the solution to that inequality is on that side of the line, if not then it is on the other.

Then you do the same for the second line, and use the area that satisfies both inequalities.

If the equations are not linear, for example if they are quadratic you do the same thing, but with the geometric shape you are given an equation for. Does that make sense?
