What property justifies the following statement: If angle N is approximately angle X and angle X is approximately angle C then angle N is approximately angle C

It seems like the transitive property, but that's a property of equality/congruency. I'm not entirely sure it holds for approximations, thought it seems like it should

yeah. ≅ is the congruent sign. ≈ is the approximate sign. So that's the transitive property. If A = B and B = C, then A = C
