Help please! I will medal ^.^ As an airplane rises through the atmosphere, machines cause the pressure inside the cabin to decrease. As the airplane descends toward Earth, machines cause the pressure inside the cabin to increase. Based on your observations from the Can Crush Lab, explain why these changes in pressure are necessary. (SIDE NOTE: The Can Crush Lab was when a student heated up a can with a bit of water in it and then dipped it in ice water - this caused the can to contract)

It's because we wouldn't survive without oxygen - if we lose too much, we fall asleep; is that why it's necessary?

We did the can crush lab and it had to deal with one of the ideal gas laws. If the pressure isn't changed in the cabin of an airplane then it can cause injury or harm to passengers and oxygen equipment is required above 8,000 altitude
well, the pressure, P, in the atmosphere may be thought of as as the total weight of the air above some unit area at any elevation. Thus, at high elevations, there are fewer air molecules above a given surface than a similar surface at lower levels. most of the atmospheres molecules are held close to the earth's surface by the force of gravity and hence air pressure decreases rapidly at first, then more slowly at higher levels.
