Plz help will medal a rational number and an irrational number that are between 9.5 and 9.7. Include the decimal approximation of the irrational number to the nearest hundredth.

Did it give a multiple choice or is this it?
thats it
Okay. Just a sec.
Aha! This is how to find an infinite amount of irrational numbers between them... square one of the numbers... (9.5)² = 90.25 now add a decimal to it, like 0.1... (we're adding because we started from the smaller number, therefor would be subtracting if from the larger number) 90.35 √90.35 ≈ 9.50526170076... ≈ 9.51 (to the nearest hundredth) Note: we're using the fact that the square root of anything that isn't a perfect square is irrational. so, as long as the decimal that you're adding to the square (or subtracting from the larger amount squared) does not combine to give a perfect square, then you're ok)
ohhhhhhhhhh ok makes sense
Simply sqrt(92) and 9.6. sqrt(92) = 9.59
Good luck!
thanks
