So, as you may know from experience, the heavier an object is, the harder it is to move. this is called the 'inertia' of the object. so the force of gravity is constant, pretend the object is being pulled with a constant force which does not change, if the object is heavier, then it will be harder for the force to pull it to the ground, as the object gets heavier, gravity can't pull it as much and this increase ininertia causes a decrease in the falling rate (acceleration) and makes heavy objects fall at the same time as light ones.
