What did the Reformation lead to? A. the division of Christianity into Catholic and Protestant faiths B. standardized religious writings C. religious reformers escaping persecution D. most European monarchs becoming Protestants
A, because most of the reformation requests weren't heeded by church it split into protestant and catholic faith. Please note, that most of the requests were later incorporated into Catholicism too, but by then it was too late. Religious writings were much more similar before the reformation, because the texts were translated from Latin only after it. Most European rules remained catholic, with some notable exceptions (example: England). Religious prosecution was stopped in some countries (example: France), but only after wars between protestant and catholic nobles, and later on resumed.
