idk but i have this – Publication is a way that scientist can communicate his findings with the rest of the world. The process of publication gives the scientist feedback on his work.

– Publishing bring additional gain to a scientist’s career for two reasons: First, a researcher is valued on the amount of important papers he has published. Second, publication is a measure of how much scientists have accomplished with the funding they have been given.

Most importantly, for the mankind:

Ÿ Science progresses forward if everyone published their results. One of the cornerstones of the scientific process is the free exchange of information. Scientists can use the new finding published by other to expand their own work and build upon the new findings, rather than every scientist have to do every experiment independently.

Ÿ Knowledge is the property of the entire mankind. The knowledge must be integrated because in that way it becomes greater, open to comparisons, critique, and improvement, unnecessary research of already known facts is avoided, and it enables the weakest to learn from the most knowledgeable.
