you have two equations and two unknowns, so it is solvable. (you need an equation for each unknown) I am not sure which are the angles and which are the sides. But as a guess, I get: x+2y= 40 y^2= x+55 you can "solve for x" in the 2nd equation to get x= y^2 -55 and use that to replace x in the first equation to get x+2y=40 y^2-55+2y= 40 put that into "standard form" y^2 + 2y -95= 0 that has a solution.
