OpenStudy (steve816):

Difference between y = -f(x) and y = f(-x) Help me!

imqwerty (imqwerty):

if u got a function like- f(x)=x^2 + 2x then -f(x)=-[x^2+2x] -f(x)=-x^2 -2x and f(-x) =(-x)^2+2(-x) f(-x)=x^2-2x

imqwerty (imqwerty):

f(-x) is the value of function when u put x as -x and -f(x) is simply the negative of f(x)

OpenStudy (steve816):

oooh, brilliant! Thanks qwerty.
