I Need Help Please. Lol. I'm on Plato & I'm Stuck In ICP & I Don't Understand This Question. An athlete is running at a constant velocity with a javelin held in his right hand. The force he is applying on the javelin as he carries it is 5.0 newtons. If he covers a distance of 10 meters, what work has he done on the javelin? Heres the choices: a. 5.0 x 10^1 Joules, b. 4.5 x^1 Joules c. -5.0 x 10^1 Joules d. 0 Joules. Comemnt Hurry!!!
it is 0 joules...
the force he is applying is against the gravity....that force is actually equal and against the weight of the javelin and work= f*s* sin x and x=90' in this case.....bcz 90' is the measure of the angle b/w direction of the force and that of the motion....
Thank You So Much, I Barley Understood It I Went Over This 2 Times... This Is The Only Subject I Don't Understand.
