OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @studio-games summer actually because that is why it gets even hotter... \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) That's not how it works mate

OpenStudy (studio-games):

I learnt this in 1st grade. During summer the earth gets closer to the sun.

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

The weather/ climate is due to the tilt of Earth's axis not whether or not it is closer to the sun or not.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

@Mo0se it's proven by science actually that we are closer in the winter to the sun than than in Summer ^_^ http://oceanworld.tamu.edu/resources/ocng_textbook/chapter04/Images/Fig4-1s.jpg

OpenStudy (studio-games):

Well a part of the earth is closer.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

oh sure... just go ahead .-. my answers come with a guarantee or you get 10 owl bucks

OpenStudy (studio-games):

during summer.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

yes .-. @Astrophysics is correct you dont just go by your own thoughts as I learned this in 7th grade

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Wrong again @studio-games that is an assumption and you would think is the logical answer, but it's not, the perihelion is where the earth is closest to the Sun which in this case is the winter.
